Published April 1979.
A classic Russell Flint painting.
A study of Cecilia Green, reclining on a chaise longue, while the other girl (Cecilia Green) recites Act II,
presumably by Shakespeare, with a view to memorizing the piece.
The subtle backdrop gives a gentle contrast to silk and fine linen of the dresses in the centre of the painting.
This painting was undoubtedely constructed in Russell Flint's Peel Street studio in Campden.
In situations where Cecilia was required to hold a certain pose for several hours.
